Oh help, the Zara sale..

Heyyy guys!
Now I don't know if you've heard, but now you should all know that the Zara sale has started and it's the best thing to ever happen to women and men around the world because the clothes are delish! I went in the other day for a "browse" and because I'm currently jobless I only allowed myself to purchase one t-shirt priced at ten pounds, but it was a damn good t-shirt. I know this might look like your average black t-shirt but it's so well made and if you look at the detail on the sleeves it kind of reminds me of the clothes you see Azealia Banks sporting these days. It's sort of like her futuristic cut out cat suit meets net infused Baroque look (well that's what I'm calling it anyway) Here's a picture of Azealia looking fierce at Governors Ball Music Festival, I have no idea who made this (I searched) but if I did I'd be having one of these sent to me immediately because this is the best thing I've ever seen.

And here's my Zara purchase..
The sleeve detail completely changes it from a normal jersey t-shirt into something quite fancy
This has been hanging up I swear, Jersey material creases easily...

Sadly I didn't buy anything else but of course I had my eye on a good few things so I've gone on the website and done your dirty work for you, if you couldn't be bothered going into town or if your shop doesn't have much sale left then try the online sale for some bargains. My favourite thing in the sale is definitely this top with matching skirt. I absolutely love the print on this, you could wear them both together as the colours of the print ensure it's not too in your face yet if you wore them separately they could add something to the simplest outfits.
This amazing Jacquard pattern top is down to £29.99 and the skirt is  £22.99
My next favourite item is this gold velvet kimono, I tried it on and wept because even though it's in the sale it's actually still £59.99 down from £79. I would really recommend this though if you're looking for a staple piece that might be a bit pricey but is guaranteed to jazz up any outfit. You could literally wear this with plain black jeans and a black t-shirt and because it is so luxurious you would look amazing, so ladies if you can afford to splash out then seriously go for it! Especially since kimonos are everywhere nowadays you simply have to treat yourself to one...

If I started going through all the clothes in Zara I loved this post would never end so instead I'm going to move on to accessories and shoes. I'll narrow it down to my favourite sandals, slippers and platforms so I'm not here all day..
White is great in the summer for making you look tanner than you actually are, plus these are lovely and only £29.99 (they also come in tan leather)

These leopard print slippers are so cute and look really expensive yet are only £29.99
Plus you'd be conquering two trends at once with leopard print and pony skin.
These are £25.99 and I don't need to say anything else

Everyone needs a big tan leather bag because once you have one you'll ask yourself "how did I ever survive without this?" The neutral colour means that you can wear them with almost everything and even though this bag seems big, once you start using it you realise that you're actually Mary Poppins and you want to carry as much as possible around with you at all times. It also helps with this new "bag tax" going on in Belfast so if you're asked "would you like a bag?" you can say "no no, I'll just stick in my new tan shopper bag, thanks".
£39.99 but looks like its worth £3999, bargain!
So if like me you find yourself salivating over these items then get online or get yourself down to the Zara sale because these bargains are not going to lie around waiting for you!
You can thank me later sure...
Lots of love
Katie.

Show me your wardrobe #1 - Nuala

My first "Show me your wardrobe" post features one of my best and most fashionable pals - Nuala! If you know Nuala then you'll know that she's not the type of girl who blends in to the background, with her short fringe and androgynous looks she would stand out in any crowd. She's naturally drawn to clothes with bright stand out colours that are different to most things on the high street and that's what makes her so unique; she has an eye for obscurity.
The clothes that I've taken pictures of here really reflect Nuala as a person, the bright and cheery colours represent the vivacious and confident aura that she exudes to everyone she meets while her accessories are where her tomboy-ish undertones come out.
I asked Nuala to describe her style "I love print and colour, I'd say it’s probably casual but fun. I like casual shapes like baggy shirts and t-shirts with printed leggings and I live for hats haha." I then asked her where her favourite places to shop were and she told me "Well I think a lot of my favourite clothes are from stores I’ve modelled for like Monroe Store and Smut Clothing. I really love Monroe’s new brand The Colour Collective and Lazy Oafs stuff is amazing. Every time they bring out a new collection it's better than the last! I like getting Vintage stuff wherever I can find it, I always gravitate towards vintage shops if I'm in a new city shopping. High streets chains are grand for bits and bobs but I like having clothes that I won't see anyone else wearing which is why I like more niche brands like the Colour Collective etc."

Beanie hats galore! Some hats here from the likes of Lazy Oaf and Monroe, also check out  Skulls and Bones Boys Club for cool hats and tings http://www.skullandbonesboysclub.com/

Some drawings by Nuala in the backround, her artistic personality really comes across in the clothes she wears

Dress by Lazy Oaf, find more beauties like this here - /http://www.lazyoaf.co.uk/

Jacket from Monroe (now The Colour Collective) check out their stuff here - /http://www.thecolourcollective.co.uk/

Oul Nuals is the bumbag queen, here's some of her favourite accessories
Hat #1 -Shade London.  Hat #2 - Skulls Barcelona at Urban Industry . Hat #3 HUF at Candy Store Clothing

Amazing barbie crop top was a gift from Nuala's mummy ,"Say What" dress from Lazy Oaf,  Hoodie from Monroe Store (now The Colour Collective) and the rasta colour net top is from Urban Outfitters.

Some tasty shoes - Both pairs of sandles from Urban Outfitters, Trainers by New Balance and boots from ASOS

Now I know that not everyone likes this way of dressing and it can be unflattering and some people feel that maybe they couldn't pull it off, or all of the other things we tell ourselves when we limit our fashion boundaries... BUT... If you feel like maybe you'd like to wear these kind of clothes or you're looking for a bit of inspiration when it comes to dressing down but in a fashionable way then look no further! I've put together a few items from different high street and online stores as a guide to some things you might like.

This dress is understated and not particularly girly so you could wear casually during the day with a pair of trainers like the beaut new balance ones Nuala owns, or even just a simple pair of vans for a casual look. Yet if you stuck on some chunky gold jewellery and a pair of heels you could easily wear this outfit for a night out, just add some cute ankle socks and heels and you're sorted! This is from Topshop and is priced at £40, a good versatile investment I think.

Or if you were looking for something a bit more casual then a simple pair of print leggings can go a long way! Pair with anything from a plain t-shirt to a silk shirt and even add heels for a night time look. The best place to find leggings like this would usually be Urban Outfitters, these Adidas bone print ones are priced at £35
And to complete the dressed down look every girl needs a good pair of trainers, this year Nike Air Max have made a comeback and everyone wants a pair, but sadly if you're poor like me it isn't always so easy to fork out £90 on a pair of trainers :( However where there's a will there's a way and I've found you all a cheaper and equally as nice alternative, these Nike Air Base II are in the Size sale for only £45 (bargain) find them online here /http://www.size.co.uk/product/nike-air-base-ii-og/056545/

I hope you've enjoyed reading my first (and rather long) post but I just had so much to write about all Nuala's lovely clothes. If you're on here for inspiration or even just for a wee read then please check up for more posts that I'll be doing over the next few weeks as I have more wardrobes to raid and some summer holiday posts coming up. If you like me aren't going on holiday then join me in a minutes silence to mourn our lack of tans and cry over all the amazing holiday clothes in town ATM!
Anyway enough from me, again thanks for reading guys and I hope you like it :-)
Lots of love and kisses,
Katie.

I'm new here...

Hey there lil blog reader pals!
Ooh I'm really nervous about this!! I've been wanting to start a blog for quite a while now and I guess now that i'm home from Uni skint and bored then I may as well do something useful with my time. I suppose once I get a job i'll not be able to blog as often as I plan to (someone employ me please) but then I'll have lots of money to spend on nice clothes to show you all, yay! So bear with me as I get started up here because I'm new to this whole thing and I'm really really bad with computers/technology. Basically what I'll be trying to do is blog about fashion,my life, my friends (and their lovely clothes) which leads me on to my first topic which is "show me your wardrobe". This is where I'll be paying a visit to some of my lovely fashionable friends and asking them to show me their favourite pieces which they will model (styled by me) and the accessories and possessions in their rooms that best reflect their personalities. The idea behind this blog is to show how style isn't just achieved through buying expensive designer clothes or one type of dressing, everyone has their own style and unique look that works for them. I don't want to tell people what to wear, but to show different clothes and accessories that I like and how you could wear them if you also like them too. I'm hoping if this blog is successful that I can one day take requests for styling clothes and people will want to ask me for "what to wear with" advice, so here's hoping! If you like the sound of this then please follow my blog/favourite it/share with your friends and I'd love you forever.

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Lots of love and kisses,
Katie.

P.S here's a picture of some lovely clothes and an example of what's to come.
